Mini-Galleries In 1982 the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts inaugurated its Mini-Gallery program in an effort to encourage the visual arts in Livingston County by providing a showcase for area artists and by offering residents an opportunity to become aware of the talent surrounding them. Over a period of four months and on a rotating schedule, artists display their art in four local banks. This system provides four one-person shows for each artist. Artists are responsible for hanging their works in each of the four sites. All artwork is to be suitably presented for exhibiting, but framing each piece is not necessary. Three-dimensional works must be able to fit on the Mini-Gallery panels, as there is no floor space available for stands. The bank sites include:
Community Bank In 2005, the program was expanded to include month-long Capstone Exhibitions and artist receptions exclusively for Mini-Gallery artists.
